Journal Drafts

What changed
When you close a new Journal note with unsaved content, Synk now lets you save a draft or discard it. Drafts restore your title, rich text, reminders, and photos when you open a blank note again.
Why it matters
Accidental closes should not erase a thought, reflection, or photo you were still working on.

Synk 1.2.9

What changed
Synk 1.2.9 improves AI-guided goal setup, goal forecasts, progress history, startup sync, chart labels, HealthKit chart loading, and animated backgrounds.
Why it matters
This release makes goal planning easier to start, progress easier to understand, and the app smoother during daily use.

Guided Goal Setup

  • Synk AI now waits for the key goal details it needs before preparing a goal plan.
  • One answer can fill multiple missing details, such as target and duration.
  • Suggested activities appear earlier, so you can see the shape of the plan before saving it.

Smarter Forecasts

  • Goal detail now shows a clearer Estimated Finish card with projected date, risk state, current pace, and catch-up guidance.
  • Goals without progress now explain when an estimate will appear and what starting pace is needed.
  • Forecast suggestions use better rounding for your goal unit, making the next action easier to follow.

Clearer Progress History

  • Manual progress logs now show what you added and the running total for the period.
  • Shared progress history is easier to read because it includes both the entry value and total.
  • Goal chart dates now use more consistent localized month and date labels.

Smoother Daily Use

  • Coach, Goals, and Journal startup sync now prioritize getting the app ready faster.
  • HealthKit-linked charts avoid showing stale period data while fresh data is loading.
  • Animated backgrounds have richer motion, better depth, and a cleaner fallback on devices where advanced graphics are unavailable.

Short Summary

Guided goal setup, smarter finish forecasts, clearer progress history, faster startup sync, and richer chart polish.

Clearer Completed Goals

What changed
Completed goal details no longer repeat old Progress Record sections that could make the page feel cluttered.
Why it matters
Finished goals should focus on what you achieved, not duplicate retired progress views.

Goal Chart Navigation

What changed
Goal detail charts now include previous and next period controls, clearer target labels, and cleaner edge-to-edge chart presentation.
Why it matters
It should be easier to review progress across weeks and months without losing sight of the goal target.

Better Finish Recommendations

What changed
Estimated Finish guidance now uses your normalized daily pace and rounds recommendations for the unit you are tracking.
Why it matters
Catch-up suggestions should feel realistic, specific, and easy to act on.

Synk 1.2.8

What changed
Synk 1.2.8 added safer storage behavior, more reliable Synk Cloud sync, account erasure, goal drafts, timed activity breathing, and Journal workflow polish.
Why it matters
This release focused on protecting user data, reducing lost work, and making goal and Journal flows feel more dependable.

  • Local and cloud data stay more clearly separated.

Timed Activity Notes

What changed
Timed activity sessions can now save notes, and supported activities can start with a breathing prelude.
Why it matters
You can capture context from a focused session without leaving the timer flow.

Goal Creation Drafts

What changed

More Predictable Goal Setup

What changed

Why it matters

More Reliable Widgets

What changed
Home widgets now use a newer daily snapshot so completion state better matches the app, and Live Activities reconnect more reliably after restart.
Why it matters
Widgets and timers should reflect today clearly, even after the app relaunches.
